About us
The people's organization for women empowerment trust (power) is a women-headed, women-led, and women-managed not-for-profit, non-political organization that exists solely to work for the empowerment of women and girls. Established in 1998, POWER was born out of a deep realization that women—especially from rural and marginalized communities—needed to come together to challenge socio-economic injustice, gender-based violence, and cultural practices that perpetuated inequality.
